Dashboard guide

Workspace settings

Find workspace settings, change names and languages, and understand dashboard URLs.

The dashboard has two settings areas. Workspace settings apply to the workspace you have open (personal or team). Account settings apply to your account across all workspaces.

Find the menus

The header of the dashboard has your workspace name on the left and your account icon on the right.

MenuContents
Workspace name"Media", "Settings and plan", the workspaces you belong to (to switch), "+ Create a team"
Account icon"Account settings", "Theme" (System, Light, Dark), "Sign out"

If you switch workspaces while on Media or settings, you land on the same screen in the new workspace. From any other screen, you land on the top of the new workspace.

The workspace name does not appear on the account settings screen. There, the account icon menu also has "Go to dashboard" and "Workspace settings" ("Team settings" for teams).

Workspace settings tabs

Select the workspace name → "Settings and plan". The heading is "Workspace settings" for a personal workspace and "Team settings" for a team.

TabContentWho can see it
GeneralWorkspace name and ID, content languages, team deletionEveryone (owners and maintainers can change languages)
MembersMembers and roles, invitationsEveryone (only owners can invite and change roles)
API keysIssue, edit, and delete delivery API keysOwners and maintainers
Plans and usageCurrent plan, storage and request usageEveryone (only owners can change the plan)
HandoffHand the team's billing and management to someone elseTeams only. Everyone sees it; only the billing owner can request a handoff

Owners see "Manage your plan" at the right end of the tabs. It opens the plan comparison described in Plans and limits.

For details on each tab, see Teams and members, Manage API keys, and Plans and limits.

General tab

  • Team name: An owner can change it and select "Save". It must be 1 to 64 characters. Other members can see it but not change it.
  • Workspace name (personal): You cannot change the name of a personal workspace.
  • Workspace ID / Team ID: Shown as genko.me/your-workspace. It is used in URLs and the delivery API, so it cannot be changed after creation.

Delete team

Team owners see "Delete team". If you enter the team name correctly in the confirmation dialog and select "Permanently delete", all of the team's APIs, content, media, and members are lost. This cannot be undone. You cannot delete a personal workspace from this screen.

Set the content language

Set the main language and additional languages under "Content languages" on the "General" tab. Only owners can change them. The main language is the language your existing entries are written in. Additional languages are the languages you can create translated versions in. Adding a language does not create any translated versions. Next, turn on multilingual content for each API.

Free allows one additional language. Plus and Pro have no limit. Language codes look like en or zh-CN. You cannot add the same code twice, or add the main language as an additional language. If you change the main language, existing entries are not translated. Their saved values become the content of the new main language.

If you remove an additional language, that language's entries and version history are deleted from all APIs. Check what will be removed in the confirmation dialog, and if you need the content, first export by language. If the language settings were changed on another screen in the meantime, your change is not saved and the latest settings are shown.

Dashboard URLs

Dashboard URLs follow this pattern. your-workspace is your workspace ID and blog is an API endpoint.

ScreenURL
Top of workspace/w/your-workspace
Media/w/your-workspace/media
Workspace settings (general)/w/your-workspace/settings
Members/w/your-workspace/settings/members
API keys/w/your-workspace/settings/api-keys
Plans and usage/w/your-workspace/settings/plan
Compare plans/w/your-workspace/settings/plan/compare
Handoff (teams)/w/your-workspace/settings/transfer
Create API/w/your-workspace/new-api
List of API contents/w/your-workspace/apis/blog
Schema and API settings/w/your-workspace/apis/blog/schema and /w/your-workspace/apis/blog/settings
Editor/w/your-workspace/apis/blog/editor
Account settings/settings

URLs in the old format (such as genko.me/your-workspace/blog) redirect to the matching new URL, so saved bookmarks still work.

Account settings

Select the account icon → "Account settings". These settings apply to all workspaces. They are split into "General", "Account", "Security", "Integrations", "Notifications", "Support", and "Delete account". For details, see Account and authentication and Notification settings.
