Notification settings
Manage notification emails, security alerts, and API key expiry notices.
Change how you receive notification emails under "Notifications" in account settings. These settings belong to your account, not to a personal workspace or a team.
Notification types
| Type | What it covers | Delivery |
|---|---|---|
| Sign-in alerts | An email when a new sign-in happens | On by default. You can change it on the notifications screen |
| Newsletter and product updates | Guides on getting the most from genko.me, and news about new features and important changes | Optional. Choose when you register or on the notifications screen |
| Security notifications | Changes to your password, email address, two-factor authentication, and passkeys | Always sent, whatever your notification settings |
| API key expiry notice | An API key expires in 7 days | Sent to every owner and maintainer of the workspace |
Verification codes and important security notifications keep arriving even if you turn off the newsletter. For when API key notices are sent, see Manage API keys.
Change settings
- Select the account icon on the right side of the header, then "Account settings".
- Select "Notifications".
- Turn the setting you want to change on or off.
- Select "Save changes" and check that no error appears.
If you try to leave without saving, you are asked to confirm. If saving fails, check your connection and try again.
If you do not recognize an email
If you get a notice about a sign-in or an authentication change you did not make, review your account security settings and change your password if needed. Never share a code or credentials from an email with anyone.
If you cannot find a notification, check your registered email address and your spam folder. To change how you sign in, see Account and authentication.
To notify an external system about content updates, use webhooks, not email notifications.
